I'm baaaaaack!   Sorry I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks chasin my tail and spinnin my wheels in the mud and muck of life!  Missed ya'll!  I also missed a couple of cool blog link-ups.  I'm re-entering the blogging world pondering on a few of my favorite things again.  Obviously family and friends trump everything else!!!

I'll preface by saying these are not necessarily in order of priority,
as priorities sway with hormones moods and occasions and energy levels, ya know!
Look back a dozen or so blog posts past....and you'll likely see a completely different list!

Who DOESN'T  cupcakes?  Any cupcakes!!
I don't care if the powers-that-be have declared cupcakes out and pies in.
I'll always choose cupcakes over pies!

I love, love, love pewter!  Not silver (too much labor), PEWTER!
Especially the line you can bake AND serve in!
It just adds an element of elegance to your table, don'tcha think?!!!

Chocolate stash!  Need I say more?!

Hi. I'm Terri.  I'm a dishaholic.
My radar zones in on the dish department of any store I enter!
What you aren't seeing here is the armoir in the living room
which is also about to bust a seam!

GRITS!!!  Rates right up there with chocolate!
I could pull a Bubba Gump here and declare I love 'em
with cheese, buttah, shrimp, fried, mexican, w/gravy, cold ...

Maybelline ColorStays Lip Color #765!
I discovered this years ago and live in fear they will discontinue it one day.
I've never had a lip color that actually stayed put for HOURS!!!

I ♥ my Viking!

Moscato!  My current fave!

What better to have a chilled glass of Moscato with than
Marguerita Pizza?!!!!!  Oh yeah!

And, at the end of the day,
or to calm the chaos in the middle of the day....
a cup of hot tea.
Soothing.
Peaceful.
Ahhhhh.

Today, in the spirit of Miscellany Monday, I'm gonna share a recent collaborative endeavor!

A couple months ago me and five fellow artists opened an art gallery and gift shop in the heart of the downtown Mobile art district.  It took off!  The little gallery called Art(ology) was featured on the front page of the Arts section in the Press Register Sunday!  I'm attaching the link to the full article.  Read it when you get a chance!  Better yet, drop in for a visit!!!

Jen and I drove to Pensacola this morning to deliver Caroline to the airport for her return trip to France.  What a lovely two week visit we had.  Miss her already!  After a brief stop by TJMaxx, we returned to Mobile.  Yes! We passed the Eastern Shore Center both agreeing we were tired of shopping! She went on home with a sleeping Keller in the back seat.  I'm gonna crank up the radio and attempt to tackle the never-ending To-Do list with the time remaining in the day.  I refuse to let the dust bunnies win exit this weekend without the worst of it completed. I usually have these chores completed between Christmas and New Year's Day, but I wanted to enjoy every minute I had with Caro!!

* Un-decorate tree and pack  it all up.  Get it back to the garage TODAY.    Find the kitchen counter underneath all the clutter.   Clean up the mess from the sink cabinet where hot water dispenser leaked. Ugh.  Vacuum & Dust  Go thru Keller Bugs toys and pull out some.  It overwhelms Gramma with too many choices!  Clean out the fridge.....gross!

LAUNDRY.

Strip bed and vacuum guest room.

Clean the doggie slobber and
Keller's kisses from Patio Doors.

Does this really need words?

Just call me Cinderella for now ..... my prince will
return from the hunting camp in awhile
come soon  with new shoes no doubt!!!

The day started off with me putting away Christmas decorations.
Of course as soon as Keller spotted the Santa hats she had to have the Ho Ho ON!

The rest of the day was great.......lunch, nap, movie, play, fall asleep half-on the blanket.
I was sitting at the computer watching her like a good gramma, of course.  It had fallen
dark outside (5:45 pm) and I didn't turn on the light as I walked over and pulled her up onto
the blanket.  I picked up an ink pen laying on the floor nearby (thinking I was glad
she hadn't seen it).  She was out ..... zzz z z z zzzz.  A few minutes later Lindsay
turned on the overhead light and asked me what was on her face.  I went and looked.

OMG!
I told Lindsay "Her mom is gonna rip my eyeballs out!
Get me some wipes and some clean clothes!"
I proceeded to pick her up and examine her face.
Then I turned her face and saw the other side.
Then the papparazzi returned with the clothes and camera!
The ink came off with the wipes.
I'm hoping the Oxyclean will take it outta her clothes.
She just looked at me an giggled when I told her she colored so pretty!

This is where "Semi-wordless Wednesday" steps in!!!!!

Never again will I say "You have to watch her like a hawk" .... uh-uh, not me.

OK....So this is supposed to be a before & after post.  As for me and my house ... who has had time to do anything this week except procrastinate put up the Christmas decorations.  Not to be left out, I am posting my studio re-do from last summer (only because it is ONCE AGAIN on the list)! Below is a before(left) & after (right) shot.

During the process of emptying the studio completely
and culling & organizing before putting it all back.....
I found this fabulous flat storage at a tag sale!
It fit in my car with only 1/2 inch space to spare.
It was meant to be mine and has made my studio life
a ton easier to find mats and bags and paper!

This was the transition phase ..... everything in the pool,
uhm, I mean the dining room.

It looked so good and was such a peaceful place.
Unfortunately during the holiday rush, and
now preparing for upcoming shows,
it has nearly come full circle back to the disaster it was ....
evidenced by the photo below which I took this morning.  Ugh!

This is where I create!
and
This is where I post what I create!

The holidays were grand! My tree is still up! Only because I'm lazy waiting on a shipment of ornament storage boxes to arrive. This year the gift to the entire family has been Caroline's visit from France. She is older than and Jennifer are close in age. Caro was our exchange student approximately twelve years ago. This is the first time we've seen her since! She is leaving this Saturday so we are doing all we can to make her miss us when she leaves! it memorable .... which isn't easy since everyone is working and a lot of things have been closed the last two weekends when we aren't working! Lot's family time!

Keller was so much fun! We had many get-togethers during the holidays and she was in the spotlight every time! Each time Caro has skyped with her family, Keller has been front and center waving at the monitor and chatting bisous and cuckoo....which is kisses and hi!

New Years Eve was not too terribly loud although late! We had a couple of friends over along with our family and cooked oysters from Joe Patty's along with steamed shrimp and gumbo. And last, but certainly not least, cupcakes to greet midnight with!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and expect a joyous, prosperous and safe New Year for all!!! Be blessed!!
